Fire Drill
This morning at about 6:45 all 38 people in my block were woken up by the fire alarm and our resident tutors banging on our doors. We all knew that there would be a fire drill in the morning at some point this week but we didn't think it would be that early!Everyone was walking onto the Car Park most of them going barefoot and we were all outside in the freezing cold in our pyjamas. It was a wake up call we are not likely to forget :(

whats the point in having a fire drill that early? i know if my house was on fire at 6:45 in the morning id stay in bed
You think THAT'S bad? We've had, hmm let me see; one "official" fire drill, that was 7p.m. just as i was washing up after tea. Then there was the first "unofficial" one, that was at 1 !!A.M.!! then there was the second "unofficial" (3a.m.) ooh, then there was the joyous first breakglass event (someone "accidentally" smashed one of the red 'in case of fire break glass' thingywotsits)(midnight) that took ages to shut off, then there was the second! however this one didn't stop going off because a screw broke or something, also they decided at this point to search all the rooms in our block, in a vain attempt to catch the feind responsible, so we weren't allowed in! in the middle of the night!!!
All in all we've had about 5 in the last 2 weeks, and this is no ordinary fire alarm, this is a screaming cat in pint glass being flushed down a toilet whilst strangling a herd of turkeys, with a head full of howler monkeys fire alarm!!!! Its soo flippin' screachy and LOUD! and at 3am! it actually hurts to hear it! so anyway, the joys of life in newman maryvale hall c block. And apparently this is why they call it the "party block". why couldn't they put me in the "sleepy block?"
