Snowflake
Not wishing to steal the thunder of Matt's stomach juices (thanks for that, no no, we don't need to see the picture) here is a step by step guide of how to make a paper snowflake.
Here you have your starting sheet of A4 paper.
Fold this piece of paper in half.
Now fold it in half again so you have a piece of paper a quarter of the size of the original A4
Fold the bottom side edge to the long side edge. Make sure that if the paper was unfolded now the corner the red arrow is pointing at would be the center of the original A4
You should now have something that looks like this
Cut a curve in the paper so that when folded out the paper will be circular. Start at the point closest to the bottom corner (the point on the right most point of the curve above)
Now cut your design into the paper that is left. Remember, dont cut completely down one side or the snowflake will fall apart. Unfold you paper and enjoy the snowflakeyness of it all.

I got confused at the arrow stage. :P
YOU TAUGHT US A DIFFERENT WAY!!
xD
georgie said had to fold it again
GAZ YOU SAID TO FOLD IT TWICE!!
if you fold it twice there will be eight repeats as apposed to six repeats. while this will make a more intricate pattern, it is harder to do intricate shapes due to the thickness of the paper. if is is only folded once, it is easier to cut allowing more intricate shapes to be made, at the pay-off of less of those shapes being repeated
