Halloween

I have no idea what to dress up as for Halloween.Even tho it's a long way offi would welcome any suggestions no matter how weird

Catholicism: don't knock it till you've tried it.....

KNOCK KNOCK!!!!!!
Well, i went to a mass today, it was SO weird. I considered it research for my course and such, and well, i don't want to be mean because i don't really understand it all, but well it seemed very "religious" (therefore not my thing!) *strangely the computer is running rather slowly so i think the college is monitoring me, oooh dear, they'll send the spainish inquisition after me; who nobody ever notices!* Have you ever been to one of these things? its all very structured, and liturgical (thats the idea i suppose) all sitting down, standing, kneeling, more standing, repetition, lots of crossing. then there's the eucharist, i was going to ask the priest afterwards what he actually did to make the bread and wine, transubstantiate, it seemed to me like he just waved it around a bit, bowed a couple of times, slightly comically, very fast and hard, must have hurt his knees! Well, i suppose for some of the people there it really did mean something, they took it very seriously,it was the priest who seemed to just be doing it probably for the 1000 time this week, it was as if he just wanted to get it over and done with; "May the graceofourLordJesuschrist and the LoveofGodandthefellowshipofthe holy spirit...." i don't know, it seems that they can grasp the idea of an Awesome God, but who seems rather transcendant, almost too distant. I'm not trying to make fun, i just don't understand. I guess each to his own, i'll just stick to mine thank you very much!

Someone briefly explained to me the differences between, catholics, anglicans, and baptists, it was summarised thus: Catholics say no, anglicans aren't sure, and baptists vote on it! ; p

About next Tuesday..

Uhmm.. Pizza Hut was suggested, but how about we just go have pub food instead. Then whoever wants alcohol with it, can. And not just shitty expensive beer like at pizzahut. Plus there's more of a range of food, and about the same price. And not necessarily at the Golden I meant, but if everyone had their heart set on pizza hut then sure, that's fine too, just thought.. bit of variation, since we used to pub for food before then it just kinda died.

Whatever.

Uniness..

So, this blog was created for when people went to uni and such wasn't it?

Vroom.

Ok, so Ragley hall plans are as follows:

In Jen's Car there will be;
Justin
Rachel
James
Me

Those in Jen's care have to be at her house at apprx. 10am.

In Robyn's Car there will be;
Dot
George
Neff
Gaz

Times to be arranged with Robbs, think she is collecting everyone though.

Charlenes car currently occupies just herself as Matt, Lauz, Nikki, Kate annnd Laurie can't go.

Anyone i've missed out?

For lack of synchronism

Ragley hall, i think, looks like it'll never happen.

So why don't we just have a house party/sleep over. It's easy(?), every body knows what theyre doing and we don't all have to be together at one point in time for it to go on.

Oh and theres no question of drivers.

Time's running out.

Ragley Hall?

Ok so this idea keeps coming up but as Dot pointed out, we can't organise anything.

So, are we going to do this as our last big (non-pub) get together before uni? If not are there any other ideas people feel like sharing?

If you want to do this then you should post here the days you can go, and the day you leave for university. Don't comment without leaving this information.

Also, we'll need to arrange travel, any ideas on that? bus/train/drivers? Or if you could look into it then that would be helpful.

Lalala.

Have a nice day :D

p.s. If i've missed anything out (and i probably have) then just post it.

Also, thanks to Gaz's genius mind, we might want to check weather forecasts once we have decided a date as we don't wanna get wet, well, not all of us do. We can always just see what the weather is like on the decided day.

Swan song

So people are going off circa. 24th September

What are we going to do to 'celebrate' it?

[hint]huge get together but not pubbing[/hint]
